I am not comfortable working in an environment that lacks structure, where my back is facing a door, and where I may be easily interrupted. If my mind expects the possibility that I will be interrupted, my mind is constantly preparing to be interrupted, which distracts me and makes my work more difficult. I am also not comfortable spending a long amount of time doing public facing work or not having clear instructions on how to use my time.
