I’m a data science and machine learning self-starter, learning through hands-on projects. My passions are acquiring surprising strategic insights from data based on big picture critical thinking and quantitative analysis, cutting edge technical ideas, machine learning and artificial intelligence, especially in how we can use such tools to learn more about people. I made the highest known accuracy classification model for predicting the official competitive smogon tier for each pokemon, as a tool to help pokemon designers predict the results of their creation and to help create further gaming tools to give competitive players an advantage in the game. This required web scraping, extensive data cleaning and dataset creation, extensive original feature engineering (which some previous work falsely concluded to be too difficult to perform), and an advanced two-stage random forest implementation specially designed to work with categorical variables (h2o.ai). Going along with that, I created a professional competitive Pokémon dataset that is up-to-date to June 2021 which will be placed on Kaggle for more widespread community usage. I've also modeled the ticket price of over 200 ski resorts in the United States based on their features using a systematic data science pipeline and random forest techniques, performed t-tests to determine whether patients with insurance are being charged differently than patients without insurance based on a Kaggle medical dataset, used the Quandl API to calculate a variety of financial information about the year 2017, and more besides. I'm extremely interested in studying people via advanced cognitive and personality theories like Humanitarian Socionics, Vultology and Objective Personality, and accordingly I have a lot of interest in adaptively working with people and learning more about them. Currently I'm Learning: Tableau/PowerBI, A/B testing, recommendation systems, time series analysis, natural language processing, anything promising to my main interests. Please contact me with any opportunities in data science or data analytics, or with any unique and interesting opportunities to apply and improve my skills in my main interests!
Ideal Workplace Values
I would be at home in any environment that values autonomy and quirkiness, respects creative and intensive problem solving and in which learning, research and good natured interactions with others are some of the most important values.

💪Skills and Strengths
My Neuro-exceptional talent
I have a strong combination of logical reasoning, attention to detail and critical thinking which I have spent a lot of time honing, partly through my degree in Philosophy, and partly through my study of mathematics, computer science and argumentation. In forming my own beliefs and working on my own projects, I only like to perform with perfectionism and logical rigor, so it's only natural for me to apply this rigor to all projects I'm involved with and it is even enjoyable for me. I also really enjoy Strategic Thinking because I like to envision the entire project I'm working on in my mind, which naturally brings me to thinking about the next steps, what it will take to achieve them, and how it will all fit together. This can also make me suited to working on complex projects performed over a long time which require a lot of time to think about. Because I enjoy pleasing others and prefer a harmonious and agreeable environment, and because I'm interested in people and the different ways that they work, I like to be adaptable to the needs of others so I think I'm pretty easy-going and not difficult to get along with at a personal level.

Accommodations
Uninterrupted Work TimeQuiet / Individual WorkspacesEnvironments I'm comfortable with
The main thing I enjoy is a quiet working space where I can focus on my work uninterrupted for at least some of the time that I am working. Other than that, I don't have a lot of requirements, and even quiet space isn't an absolutely strict requirement (it's just nice to have).
