About Me

#ADHD/ADD

I am a charismatic, hard-working individual that can produce quality work when in an environment that promotes collaboration. The work hard, play hard mantra is always desired because it fuels my creativity and drive. Though I have spent many years in Sales Operations, I am hoping to find an employer willing to invest in a career change of project management. Even with a recent diagnosis of ADHD, I am convinced that, with the proper training, I can overcome my shortcomings in executive functioning. I have plenty of soft skills to offer and have been told to be quite charismatic and likable. I'd like to save my full story for interested recruiters/employers, but I'll give a brief background. Grew up in a small town in Westchester, struggled hard in school even though I was bright (labeled lazy), struggled hard in college (again, labeled lazy), and then found out I am quite capable of working in a corporate environment when I landed a NYC internship. From there, my life has changed dramatically, for the better, and I had a lot of self-confidence. Sadly, unbeknownst to me, I have been struggling with something called ADHD all my life. My latest job pushed me so far to the limit, mentally, that I sought answers from a neurologist with what was "wrong" with me. I went from a mid-sized company that had a great company culture (and accommodations) to a startup that was completely remote. Had I known my diagnosis sooner I would have probably not taken the job at a much more challenging work environment. Unfortunately, due to the stress and burnout, I left the company with no other job lined up. After some time for reflection (and therapy work!), I'm eager to jump back into the fray on a new path.
