The Role

Chicago Pneumatic is seeking a Channel Marketing Specialist to assist with all aspects of the channel partner marketing and communication activities. As the Channel Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily marketing and communication activities directed toward our distributors and customers to achieve the continued development and growth of the Chicago Pneumatic brands – Chicago Pneumatic and Desoutter Industrial Tools.  Additionally, you will provide day-to-date marketing support for the Customer Experience Team on various initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, this role is an integral part of our team, and works directly with Product Marketing, sales, and other parties to propose, develop, and implement effective promotional strategies to maximize and engage with our channel partners and customers.

What we expect of you? 

You will make your biggest impact in


  • Distributing monthly e-newsletters for channel partners based on content collected from product marketing managers and monitor analytics monthly
  • Providing new and creative communication strategies for connecting with channel partners 
  • Creating quarterly national promotions and provide support to new product launch activities and market introduction materials in collaboration with the product managers
  • Managing the design and production of all channel partner print material (catalogs, flyers, technical literature, etc.), and dispatch all for the key internal and external stakeholders
  • Executing our Product Information Management (PIM) system to ensure complete, accurate, and consistent product information for CPD products across our channel partners 
  • Developing and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for the sponsorship program, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring all agreed-upon deliverables are met 
  • Organizing and coordinate the team’s presence at internal (Sales Trainings; National Sales Meeting) and External (Trade Shows; Dealer Sales Meetings) events. Includes design of exhibit structures, vendor product placement, and the hiring of support functions (transportation, carpet, electrical, I&D, etc.)
  • Keeping promotional and merchandising materials ready by coordinating requirements as it relates to graphics, inventorying stock, placing orders, etc. 
  • Setting up and coordinate regional promotional activities with the local sales team for increasing profitable sales growth
  • Keeping the CP showroom updated and ready for internal and external visits and/or training
  • Collaborating with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Working with Customer Experience Team and division to coordinate day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks

We Seek your Expertise in:

  • Understanding of the digital landscape
  • Graphic design and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Writing and editing intriguing content along with excellent proof-reading skills
  • Marketo or other marketing automation software
  • Ability to coordinate projects from conception to completion

To ensure your success in this role Desoutter requires

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing
  • Knowledge of/experience working in B2B and B2C environments
  • The Ability to work in cross-functional teams across a geographically dispersed organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Preference in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Ability to coordinate projects from conception to completion
