Benefits Administrator - Serco

I evaluated and processed legal requests for the Thrift Savings Plan under a contract Serco held for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board. I learned how to review a variety of legal documents including powers of attorney, guardianships, conservatorships, divorce and custody agreements, restraining orders, and other supporting documents. I worked with a small, talented team of subject matter experts and analysts to help TSP participants and their families navigate often difficult legal circumstances regarding their retirement accounts. Reviewing the documents always proved interesting and challenging. No two days were the same, and there was always something new to learn or discuss.

Logistics Technician - BAE Systems

I provided administrative, logistics, and data entry support for a technical shop that primarily deployed and repaired Special Forces military communications equipment. I performed shipping and receiving for customers' equipment, tracked vendor repairs, ordered/requisitioned parts, logged and entered all the repair information and technician notes into a government database, and pulled reports on repair trends for project managers. I also provided admin support to the technicians, tech shop supervisor, and tech shop manager. I provided training to new hires on completing the associated paperwork and using the systems required, and completed paperwork or research on behalf of various project personnel upon request.
