In the summer before my senior year, I wrote a 15 page report outlining and discussing how the Cornell CIS (Computer Science, Information Science, and Statistics and Data Science) departments could be more accessible to disabled and neurodivergent undergraduate students. In the townhall meeting in the fall semester of my senior year, I also brought up the inclusion that Cornell CIS needs to improve for their LGBTQIA+ undergraduate students. After the townhall, I spoke to the dean of Computer Science alone about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in Cornell CIS. Ideal Workplace Values
I can thrive in a company that allows me to work remotely, and aims to make a positive impact in people's lives. Since I am passionate about disability advocacy and supporting LGBTQ+ people in STEM, I hope that any organization I work at has efforts to support these populations.
