Ideal Workplace Values
To me an ideal workplace is tolerant of others' differences, including neurodivergence, race, gender identity, and so on. I am transgender as well as autistic and have been in many situations where I'm "tolerated" but not truly "accepted" or, even better, "embraced" for my unique perspectives.

My Neuro-exceptional talent
I started coding HTML/CSS when I was six years old for my Neopets PetPages, and ever since then have been learning more and more. When I started working as a research assistant, a post-bacc was leaving who had been working on a still-unfinished project to program some EEG experiments in an obscure programming language nobody else knew. I was an undergraduate at the time. I volunteered to learn the language (Presentation) and completed his project. This helped me move up through the ranks of the lab and I became indispensable as our statistical programmer.
