I love learning new things, and creating solutions to problems. I learn quickly, and am able to simplify complex topics to explain to others. My primary passion is in data science, I love to explore the things that can be learned from a collection of data, and the ways data can be used to inform decisions. Once I start a task I don't easily give up - I can take care of other duties, but I'll keep considering angles to approach in my work.
Ideal Workplace Values
I would love to work somewhere with a friendly workplace culture! Feeling welcomed makes it easier to feel less under scrutiny, and really put the skills I have to work. A workplace where procedures for transgender employees have already been developed would also be ideal - I have not yet had my name legally changed, but it would be great to have my legal name only known in cases absolutely necessary, and have it be easy to change in systems when it will eventually need to be. I'd also love somewhere with a more relaxed dress code, though I am willing to meet a strict dress code if need be.

I have a stong eye for detail, but also intuitively think about the bigger picture. In many situations I am the first one to think about limitations of an approach, data source, or analysis question - not to shut it down, but to start thinking about ways we may be able to overcome those limitations. I also genuinely have fun in the problem solving and solution design potion of a project - I will lock onto problems and process them until I find a solution. My peers have said I carry an enthusiasm for projects (and insights from data) that "rubbed off" on them, and improved team productivity and cooperation. I'm also always ready and happy to help the people around me!
