I come from a non-traditional background, where my challenges provided the chance to nurture my strengths. While I have always been curious and possess a talent and desire for learning, it was through my unwavering tenacity that I became the first college graduate in my family. I balanced being a stay-at-home mother while attending school full-time, excelling at both endeavors through my continuous work on becoming the best version of myself. When I was working on my second degree, my acquired skills truly shone; I passed all of my courses with A’s, proving that I had transformed once-perceived weaknesses into strengths. I am now ready to take the next step and begin a career that best suits my skills, where I can indulge my passion for problem-solving and continuous learning. Out of all of my courses, it was my programming classes that stimulated my mind. There is no better feeling than being able to solve a problem after being stuck on it for hours and seeing the way my skills as a programmer have developed over the years.

Skills and Strengths

My Neuro-exceptional talent

As a neurodivergent person, I had to learn how my mind works on a fundamental level. It was this obsession to understand myself that has led me to not only overcome obstacles but to thrive using my neurodiversity as a strength rather than a hindrance. I am a collector of knowledge, always learning in an attempt to satisfy my insatiable curiosity and need to know. I am able to direct my hyper-focus, channeling all of my attention and energy into my work. Even my dopamine deficiency has served me well since there is no better way to get much-needed dopamine than through the singular feeling that comes with solving or finishing a task.
