I am currently a software engineering student at Springboard who is looking to advance my career in the field of software development. I'll complete the certification program May of 2023, and I'm excited for my journey ahead as a Software Engineer. Currently, I'm an associate software quality control analyst for a software development company in San Diego, California. It's been an enjoyable four years working for the company in their quality assurance department, and I'm forever grateful for the knowledge I've gained from my colleagues and work experience. However, I feel it's time for me to pursue a new challenge, and further my education with the desire of finding new and exciting career opportunities as a Software Engineer. In the past, I've earned an ASTQB foundation level software testing certification from NFAR (Nation Foundation for Autism Research). NFAR is an organization which provides technical training in the field of software testing for those with autism in the greater San Diego area. It's a wonderful organization that's given me the opportunity to break into the field of software development, and I'm extremely grateful to them for all they have done for me. Additionally, I studied English Literature at California State University Channel Islands. I graduated with a B.A. in English Literature, and a certificate in technical writing. I'm the first member of my immediate family to graduate from university, so this was not only an achievement for myself, but also my family.
Ideal Workplace Values
My ideal workplace would most importantly be welcoming to all of its employees. I feel providing a sense of belonging and inclusivity is key to maintaining a healthy work environment which brings out the best in their employees. Additionally, my ideal workplace would provide a multitude of growth opportunities. These can include many different educational mediums: college course, online courses, certification programs etc. Continual education assures employees skill sets don't become stagnant and effect company performance. Finally, I feel an ideal workplace would be a workplace that best suites each employee. For example, allowing employees the freedom to work remotely and in the hours that best suite their optimal mental performance, so long as it doesn't interfere with company communication (e.g. company meetings).

My Neuro-exceptional talent
My neurodiversity would be advantageous to any company for the fact that I'm able to contribute alternate ideas, thought patterns, and processes which many neurotypical individuals wouldn't have considered. This provides a well rounded approach for teams and companies alike, and often improves team efficiency along with product production.
