About Me

I call myself an intersectional octopus because I believe that each of our life experiences informs our responses to the world around us. Additionally, I am a certified clinical sexologist and sensory integrationist. This plays into how I work and interact with others not because I understand sex, but because 98% of the interactions that I have with clients is about communication, personal and relational identity, nervous system regulation, and the stress response. Please do not feel that I will be talking about sex, be inappropriate, make others uncomfortable, or engage in behaviors that are unprofessional because of my certification and special interests. Rather, see this as a value add to your company because it has provided me with a skillset in compassion, stress management, communication, relationship building, teamwork, and privacy and confidentiality practices. The only time those specific titles and conversations that come under them come into play is when I am working with clients who have hired me specifically in that capacity. Ideal Workplace Values

An ideal workplace embraces intersectional thinking and humility. That looks like: -valuing support from others -believing that you can make a difference by speaking out -respecting individual life experiences -willingness to be confronted about your own behavior and attitudes -wanting to amplify the message of marginalized voices without expecting credit or reward
